the ever-changing color of your eyes
shifting with the light or the color of your clothes
lull me in each sunset, each and every sunrise
with one single glance the beat of my heart slows
my chest doesn’t pitter nor patter,
it doesn’t quicken nor keep its pace
when i see you i’m at rest, i’m at home,
i’m in a little world with you alone
the feeling of her tender lips on mine
oh, what a wonderful thought
reality tears this little world of ours to pieces
as you are not mine, yet all i am is yours
and with that devastating thought
my chest once more changes its pace
this world was never real in the first place
WHAT A THOUGHT
